Welcome Home Basket

What:
When residents move into their Mercy Housing home, sometimes they lack the basic necessities many of us take for granted. Thrive Sweet Auburn is Mercy Housing Southeast’s newest community serving families, veterans, and formerly unsheltered people in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward.

Let residents know their community cares with a Welcome Basket!

How:

There are a few ways you can participate. Feel free to choose one or all:

  • Purchase any number of new, unused items from the list, and drop them off during office hours
  • Attend a volunteer day to assemble baskets. Sign up using the form on this page, and we'll reach out with more information. Organizations welcome!
  • Sponsor a basket by making a monetary donation
When:

Starting now! Residents will be moving in over the next few months, so baskets will be distributed on an ongoing basis. Assembled baskets will be stored until residents move in.

Drop off basket supplies during office hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30am — 4pm.

Where:

Thrive Sweet Auburn - 302 Decatur St. SE, Atlanta, GA 30312

If you don’t have time to put a basket together, sponsoring a Welcome Basket is a great way to make a positive impact in the lives of Mercy Housing residents. Your donation goes directly to buying items that residents need.
