Do Something Meaningful
Tutor elementary-aged children
Mercy Housing California is partnering with Meaningful Teens to provide virtual, reading, tutoring to elementary-aged students. Students are paired with a volunteer tutor and credentialed teacher. During each session, youth will focus on literacy and reading comprehension.
We are recruiting 150 volunteers (age 14 and above) to partner with Meaningful Teens to host virtual tutoring sessions for elementary school-aged youth. Additionally, we are looking to recruit 25 credentialed teachers and or retired educators (who have experience teaching reading to young students) to supervise tutors, provide feedback to students, and support the tutoring sessions.
